Good music nourishes the soul.
Great music inspires and transcends.
In this digital machine age, the basic calling of mankind has been long forgotten.
We forgot there is something bigger than ourselves.
We thought we were part of the machine.
We lost our way.
Our hearts became numb.
Our minds were confused.
We ceased to function without a screen or sensor.
Most tragically, we forgot what empathy, compassion, gratitude, and joy is.
More than ever, we desperately crave something as beautiful as great music to awaken our souls, to warm our hearts, to rewire our brains, to rediscover the meaning of life.
However, we do not need more noise. Music created and played by machines does not lift us upwards. J.S. Bach once said: “True music cannot be recreated artificially; it must flow from the heart.” We learn from great masters like Bach, Beethoven, and others to create and play good music whole-heartedly to express our love for our Creator and for each other and thus understand why Bach wrote “SDG” on each piece of his music.
Let’s encourage each other on this path!
To show our acknowledgement and encouragement for your hard work, we have set up a music scholarship for someone who has completed the RCM practical exam Level 8 and up for piano, strings, and vocal with First Class Honors or First Class Honors with Distinction in 2026 and onwards.
We are excited to see more church musicians with a solid music foundation!

Who is eligible to apply?
